This village house from the 1930´s was renovated in 1990. It offers a lot of space, but still offers opportunities to let your imagination run wild, while modernising the house to your own design.
It is a corner house in the small village of Ses Salines. The outdoor area was designed to be very easy to maintain and the patio offers both sunny and shady spots.
The living space includes the follows:
* a living room with fireplace and direct access to the terrace
* a dining area
* a fully equipped kitchen in the annex built 30 years ago
* six bedrooms, four of which are doubles
(one of the rooms is currently used as a study, the other as a dressing room)
* Two of the upper rooms have a gallery, which can be reached via a wooden staircase and offers an ideal space for a studio or a meditation room
* two bathrooms with separate shower and bath
* a hallway area in the entrance, which used to be the drawing room of the house
* a small storage room under the stairs
* as well as another storage room which was formerly the kitchen and where was a large fireplace but is now closed. Whether this could be opened again would have to be checked
On the terrace in the courtyard there is a barbecue area with a brick BBQ, a covered porch and a laundry room in a separate building – which also houses the heating system, as well as a small workshop.
In the laundry room, a staircase leads up to a fantastic sun terrace of around 70 m². The garden of the neighbouring house is behind the sun terrace, so that some palm trees protrude over the roof terrace creating a Mediterranean feel.
Ses Salines is a municipality located in one of the most beautiful areas of the southeast of Mallorca.
The town of Ses Salines is located in close proximity to the ‘Cap de Ses Salines’, the southernmost tip of the island. This area has a long agricultural tradition that has lasted to this day and has retained much of its original charm. If you want to experience the real, rural Mallorca, Ses Salines is a good choice.
Along with the neighbouring town of Colonia de Sant Jordi, Ses Salines was once valued by the invading Romans for its salt production. The name of the place is derived from this activity and literally means ‘spring of salt’.
The salt marshes also provide shelter to many different bird species, making it a haven for bird lovers worldwide. Nature lovers will also get their money’s worth in this area, which has been awarded for its particularly beautiful landscape. The natural beauty of Ses Salines with its rugged coast and the contrast between forests and plains is almost unique.
You can quickly reach the bays of Cala Llombarts or Cala S’Almunia or the popular natural beach of Es Trenc.
The nearest larger cities of Santanyi and Campos offer year-round hustle and bustle on the markets and many shops offering everything you need for everyday use.
Palma is about 30 minutes away by car.
* Radiators throughout the house
* Courtyard with patio and porch
* Laundry room
* Lots of space
* Many opportunities for creativity
* Parking space for car in the courtyard possible
