Cales de Mallorca is located on the east coast roughly between the two towns of Porto Cristo and Portocolom. The town center is located on a limestone rock formation, which is traversed by a large number of caves at sea level.
The infrastructure of the town is mainly designed for tourism. There are various hotel and apartment complexes as well as individual holiday homes and apartments. The center of Cales de Mallorca is affectionately referred to as the “Centro Comercial” (shopping centre).
It is the area of the town it has a large entertainment offer with various bars and restaurants, shopping and leisure activities such as mini golf.
The town’s administrative center provides public services such as a post office, local police station, tourist information center and doctor’s office.
With Cala Domingo Gran, Cala Domingo Petits and Cala Antena, the town has a total of three larger sandy beach bays, which also gave the town its name. All three bays are known for excellent bathing water quality. A well-paved coastal path connects Cala Domingo Gran with Cala Antena.
The season in Cales de Mallorca usually starts in April and ends at the end of October. Most hotels, restaurants and shops are closed during the winter months. You will find everything YOU need in Portocolom, Porto Cristo or in Manacor, which is about a 20 minutes away by car.
The airport is about 70 kilometers away and can be easily reached via the Manacor-Palma expressway.
